Life Legacy
V. Gail Fox, 53, of Sedalia, died Monday, January 29, 2007 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born May 16, 1953 in Springfield, IL, the son of Virgil and Hazel Eileen Milstead Fox. On March 13, 1999 in Sedalia, he was married to Cynthia “Cindy” Rogers, who survives of the home.
Mr. Fox was raised and educated in Illinois and attended ITT Technical Institute. He worked in the cable industry for over 25 years. He moved to Sedalia in 1996 and was technical manager for the local cable company. He most recently worked for G Tech in Jefferson City, MO. He attended First United Methodist Church. He loved canoeing. He also enjoyed golfing and riding his John Deere and mowing the yard. He was generous in sharing with others and he had a big heart for animals.
Also surviving are a son, Matthew Gray, also of the home; three daughters, Brittni Lancaster, of Lee’s Summit, MO, Julie Doty, of Overland Park, KS and Amanda Lourance , of Poplar Bluff, MO; a brother, Wayne Fox, of TN; and two sisters, Sharon Barnes and Wanda Kaidell, both of Illinois; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The body was cremated.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007, at First United Methodist Church Celebration Center, with the Rev. Jim Downing, Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Matthew Gray College Fund, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
