Life Legacy
Nicholas Arthur Fischer, 41, of Sedalia, died Friday, February 16, 2007, in Iowa in an automobile accident.
He was born October 14, 1965, in Sedalia, the son of Arthur Frances and Beverly Sharon Ash Fischer. On July 11, 1992, in Sedalia, he was married to Elaine Schultz, who survives of the home.
Mr. Fischer was raised and educated in Sedalia. He held numerous jobs over the years. He spent most all of his time devoted to working and there was no job he could not do. He was a woodworker. He had a love for animals and he collected mechanical bears. He was very funny and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, driving, barbecues and spending time with his family. He was a very friendly person who went out of his way to help others. He was a loving father and he loved his entire family very much.
Also surviving are his father, Arthur Fischer, of Las Vegas, NV; his step-father, Conrad Stephens, of La Monte; a son, Brenten Schultz and his wife Penelope, of the home; a daughter, Christina Bakert, also of the home; a brother, Michael Fischer and his wife Sandra, and their children, Danielle and Amanda of Sedalia; a sister, Nicole Albin and her husband Scott, and their children, Bailey and Allie, and Chastity and her son Brady, of Harrisonville, MO; a step-sister, Suzann Fisher and her husband Dennis, and their children, Jacob, Michael and Zachary, of Sedalia; a brother-in-law, Andy Schultz and his children, Trenton and Brayden; four grandchildren, Scott Gann, David Freed, Victoria Brown and Isaac Schultz.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Stephens; and his grandparents, Henry and Eula Fae Ash.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Donald J. Allcorn officiating. Pallbearers will be Brenten Schultz, Tim Foster, Jeff Copas, Paul Perkins, Michael Martin and George Patrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Robin Crabb, Jim Coleman, Rocky Vincent and Charles Salmons. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
