Life Legacy
Lena Fischer, 99, of Sedalia, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at her home.
She was born May 14, 1908 in Pettis County, the daughter of William A. and Louisa M. Zimmerman Fischer.
She was raised and educated in Sedalia. She was a lifelong resident of Sedalia. For the past 23 years she lived with and was lovingly cared for by Belinda Seamon and her family. She enjoyed being with them and thought of them as her very own family. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. The highlight of her day was going and spending time with all of her friends at the Sedalia Senior Center.
She is survived by several great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Herman Fischer.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Wasson officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Bothwell Hospice or the Sedalia Senior Center, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
