Life Legacy
After a battle with an excruciating illness, surrounded by her family our beloved matriarch, Dorothy Juanita Negron found peace in the arms of the Lord on Friday, September 26, 2008.
Dorothy was born in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Floyd and Edna Isch Hogan and was a lifelong resident of Sedalia. With her daughter Joyce Craig, they co-owned and operated “Joy and Dot’s” beauty salon for 35 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. A Christian woman of character, Dorothy lived her life for her family and the Lord. She always spread kindness with her generous spirit. No one loved children, her family and life more than she did. Dorothy cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was truly the best grandmother a child could ever hope for.
Dorothy married Ralph Craig, who died in 1975. They lovingly reared three children who survived her. Her daughters, Joyce Craig and Judy Mascarenaz both of Sedalia, her son, Richard Craig of Florence, MO; three grandchildren, Denise Gattner of Lenexa, KS, Rick Craig of Sedalia, MO and Stephanie Frasier of the Kansas City area. Dorothy is blessed to be survived by her treasured great grandson, Ryan Craig of Sedalia, MO. She married and is survived by her second husband, Tony Negron also of Sedalia. Dorothy is survived by a sister, Mildred Elkins of Tyler, TX. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Hogan.
A memorial service for family and friends will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2008, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Tatkenhorst officiating.
