Life Legacy
Bernice A. Pearson, 93, of Sedalia, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Four Seasons Living Center.
She was born September 7, 1914 in Montserrat. On October 22, 1949 in Harrison, Arkansas, she was married to Paul P. Pearson, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Federated Church in Arrow Rock, Missouri.
She lived in Knob Noster her early years. She was a graduate of Warrensburg High School. She moved to Sedalia in 1930, and later moved to California. She returned to Sedalia in 1975 and worked as a motel manager and also owned the Fresh and Rich ice cream store for a time.
She enjoyed her dogs and cats, reading and crocheting.
Surviving are a son, William Paul Pearson; a daughter, Renee Ulmer and her husband Shane, of Sedalia; a brother, Estil Jenkins, of Sedalia; a sister Herma Read, of Sedalia and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Jenkins and R.C. Jenkins, and a sister, Charlesteen Burks.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Yvonne Marshall officiating. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. until service time.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Mid-Missouri Humane Society in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
