Life Legacy
Eldon Eugene ''Gene'' Kreisler, age 56, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
He was born Aug. 10, 1945, in Sedalia, a son of Eldon Lawrence and Ruth Wahlers Kreisler. On Feb. 15, 1980, in Sedalia, he was married to Sherrie Holling, who survives of the home.
Mr. Kreisler was raised and educated in Sedalia. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of the State Fair Billiards League. He was an honorary member of American Legion Post No. 642. He was co-owner of the Central Missouri Amusement Co. for the last 23 years. He had been in the amusement business for more than 40 years.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jeanna Slivkov and Charla Dieckman, both of Sedalia; two sons, Chad Kreisler of Edwards Air Force Base in California and Robby Kreisler of Sedalia; four sisters, Mildred Sands of Grandview, Missouri, Anna Sands of Raymore, Missouri, Mary Craig and Sharon Brosch, both of Sedalia; three brothers, Bob Kreisler of Clinton, Missouri, Gary Kreisler of Sedalia and Lawrence Kreisler of Kansas City, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, James Kreisler, Dennis Kreisler and Charles Kreisler.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ken Zindle officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Craig, Mike Kreisler, Jereme Brosch, Roger Vieth, Joe Watson and Ronnie Loucks. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association in Missouri or to the American Heart Association.
